Changing By The Minute Documentary Tool Kit
Screening page for Middle Grades Collaborative participants, to use in their own schools.
Dear Middle Grades Collaborative Participants,
I spent a year embedded in a public middle school in New York City, and made a documentary called Changing By The Minute (62min) which has been expanded into a tool kit including the feature documentary (62min), a 10min version of the film, bonus clips and discussion guides developed by subject matter experts.
The goal of the project is to help reverse the narrative of early adolescence as a negative time — and support teachers in decreasing the stress and distress experienced by 10-14 year olds.
We hope you will use the materials in your school to:
- Engage 10-14 year olds in meaningful conversation
- Catalyze dynamic professional development sessions with teachers and administrators
- Prepare new staff to work most effectively with students
-
Connect with parents and families about what to expect developmentally
From this page you can stream all the films and download discussion guides.
Thank you for the work you do.
